Oak Tree Carpentry was in the making several years before its actual origin date of July 2021. "I had worked in the carpentry and construction business since 1997, learned the trade, and knew this was my calling" says James. He has a gift to see a finished project before the first board or nail is even put in place. After working with a very prominent builder, " I knew that one day I would be doing this as a business for myself. Through the years of working under other builders and learning everything I could, I also chose to do remodeling and building projects on the side, getting phenomenal reviews." Finally, in 2021 he made the leap and opened Oak Tree Carpentry, LLC. Just him and a few guys.

The Oak Tree Carpentry team is full of hardworking individuals that enjoy what they do. They strive to execute quality work and create beautiful results.

My wife, Yuri, has been making the behind-the-scenes process work since day one. She works full-time as the officer manager and project manager. Yuri keeps our family business working as a family and brings her many years of leadership experience to the company to keep things moving in a positive direction.

We work with several trade partners to create beautiful spaces for our customers. Our partners are hand selected from the northern Michigan area as experts in their field of work. Even though they are their own company we like to think of everyone as part of the Oak Tree family.
